Tabir Ensemble

Iran and Afghanistan are neighboring countries at the confluence of the Middle

East and South-Central Asia. As evidenced by clay tablets dating to 5,400 B.C.; each country has greatly

contributed to the evolution of music and artistic culture in the region.

Since antiquity, this region was connected by ancient network of trade routes of “The Silk Road”

connecting the East and West. This region became central to cultural interaction between the East and

West for many centuries; thereby enabling artists and musicians to expand their arts, music, and

cultural heritage beyond the limits of their respective boarders.
